I am very excited to announce that I have finished my very first manuscript for a novel that has been twenty years in the making. I have worked really hard to make this book something I am proud of. It is the first book in a planned trilogy, with the second book already in the works.

 

This novel is close to my heart as it features LGBTQ+ main characters. While it is not the first of its kind, as there are many out there, I have included some of my own life experiences and given them to the main character. These experiences molded me and shaped me into the man I am today, and they give our main character depth and strength.

 

The saga itself is dubbed The World's Rebirth, which is fitting, as not only do our characters—both heroes and villains alike—grow, develop, and are reborn, but the world around them will change drastically over the course of our story. This book is ultimately about the battle between light and darkness. Two secret societies go head to head: one to save the world and one to "drain" it. They do so with the help of special humans called Kinetics—humans with psychic abilities.

 

Our story revolves around Calvin, a 25-year-old man living in Denver, Colorado, whose normal life gets turned upside down when he becomes a target marked for death by an evil organization. Cornered by an energy-manipulating Kinetic, Cal is saved by Ronan, a Kinetic trained in battle to protect innocents from harm. In a fight to save his life, Cal discovers that he too has amazing abilities. Ronan and Cal train to develop his powers and explore how he might be connected to a thousand-year-old prophecy.

 

A real-world fantasy with romance and a touch of science fiction, all wrapped up with a mystery to unravel. This novel offers excitement and a touch of nerdy nostalgia.
